Farming and fishing are very popular Vietnam. The Vietnamese people eat a lot of rice and many products of rice everyday. They have rice with meat, fish, vegetable… Let come with us and try to experience traditional rice farming with local farmers: raking soil, scooping water, transplanting rice and much knowledge of rice. After that come to visit a farming family to see how to make cooking rice by very old traditional farming equipments: husky mill, winnower, bamboo sift, petal and mortar…You will respect more the rice that people often have in our meals everyday. Apart from farming, fishing is also interesting. It is different with a life on water and not vey simple to earn living. There are many ways to fish on river: casting a net, pulling a round net, lining, trapping…           

Tour itinerary:  

• Pick up guest(s) at the appointment by car to Buffalo Cart Station
• Wear Hoi An Agritravel conical hat
• Get on buffalo cart and travel through the amazing countryside to farm site (15 minutes)
• Wear traditional farming shirt
• Ride buffalo, do photo shooting with buffalo (15 minutes)
• Join with local farmers to work on the field: ploughing soil, harrowing soil, transplanting rice, scooping water with different scoopers (45 minutes)
• Go to a farm house
• Enjoy some Rice tea
• Learn how to make white cooking rice: grinding paddy by husking mill, winnowing rice, pounding & sifting rice; learning how to make rice milk and cooking rice cake. (60 minutes)
• Transfer to a local wharf
• Get on a tourist boat and boating along Hoi An river (20 minutes)
• Discover fishing life: rowing basket boat, pulling fishing round net, casting a net, fishing …(90 minutes)
• Have meal with grilled sea food on boat (60 minutes)
• Return home by car with tour guide
